Toothache

Persistent, severe toothache that affects you day and night requires immediate care from a dentist.
Pain such as this often indicates a problem with a specific tooth that our dentists can help identify and treat. Pain in these situations can fluctuate day to day however the problem itself will only worsen without treatment.

Trauma / Knocked out tooth (avulsed tooth)

A situation where a tooth is knocked out of the mouth can be incredibly distressing for adults and children.
This sort of emergency can occur for a number of different reasons such as sports, trauma, trips and falls.

Immediate care is important in these situations so please contact us as soon as possible.
In the meantime there are some steps you can take if a tooth has been knocked out:

  • Handle the tooth as little as possible and avoid touching the root.
  • If the tooth is dirty, rinse it gently with milk.
  • Do NOT store the tooth in water.
  • Do store the tooth between the teeth and the cheek on one side of your mouth or in milk.
  • Contact us immediately on 08 9386 3437

Broken fillings or crowns

Broken fillings and crowns can be both painful and unsightly.
Often teeth and crowns break during eating and you may notice sensitivity with temperature and the roughness or sharpness of the tooth.

If a crown has come out of the mouth, please keep it safe and bring it with you to your dental appointment as we can often put it back in for you as long as the underlying tooth is not damaged.

The sooner you see us after this has occurred the more chance we have of this being successful so please contact us as soon as possible on 08 9386 3437.

Swelling

Facial swelling is normally an indication of an infection or abscess. This can develop into severe pain very quickly so you should seek emergency care immediately. This sort of swelling can be very noticeable and can increase in size rapidly.

Broken Dentures / Denture Repairs

In most cases we can arrange for a broken denture to be repaired the same day. We understand that it can be difficult to eat without their denture and that people can be embarrassed to be seen without their denture. We also only use high quality specialised dental laboratories so we ensure optimum results.

So contact us as soon as possible on 08 9386 3437.
